Breakfast Hill to Open Second Nine

Itís been nearly 40 years since a golf course was built on the New Hampshire coast. So the opening of Breakfast Hill Golf Clubís first nine holes on June 30, 2000 was a rare occasion. Breakfast Hill, appended by the back nine last September, was developed by the Sewell family. The family used 175 scenic acres of their 250-year-old farm for the course.

The 18-hole layout features rolling fairways, contoured greens, woodlands and granite boulders. The par-71 course designed by Brian Silva measures 6,500 yards from the tips, although each hole contains four sets of tees to adapt to various players.

Upcoming plans include a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse. For the time being, however, the Sewells will focus on a top-flight course that gives public golfers the level of service found at a private club. Green fees are $42 weekdays and $50 weekends.
