Caddy For A Cure Kicks off 2011 at Waste Management Phoenix Open
Caddy For A Cure, Inc., which provides an opportunity to caddie for a day with a PGA Tour player, is offering its first experience of 2011 with two-time PGA Tour winner, Charley Hoffman, at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The 2011 Waste Management Phoenix Open will be held at TPC Scottsdale Stadium course in Phoenix, January 31 through February 6. The caddie date with Hoffman will be on February 2nd during the Pro-Am round.
Caddy For A Cure offers its opportunities through online auctions with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. The auction for this experience with Hoffman is now on eBay, where interested participants can make bids in hopes of winning or buying it instantly at the Buy it Now price.
The auction winner spends the day with Charley and his Tour caddie on the driving range, putting green and golf course, being right in the middle of the action of a professional tournament.
Russ Holden, Caddy For A Cure founder and veteran PGA Tour caddie said of the program: "It is such an honor to be able to offer this wonderful opportunity with Charley at this exciting venue. Every single player who is competing out there today is phenomenal, but being able to spend the day with a player like Charley who has two PGA Tour wins is really cool.
"Charley has participated with us before and is a huge supporter of what we offer golf fans, especially since it is all for charity. The history of this event and its amazing fan base, combined with being in the middle of the field of players it draws, guarantees whoever wins this opportunity will have a day they will never forget."
Auction proceeds support the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, Birdies for the Brave, the PGA Tour Caddy Assistance Fund, the host site and participating players' charities of choice, and are fully tax-deductible.
