This year, the LOPen Golf Tournament will feature two days of entertainment and golf beginning on Friday, June 22, with a concert by country music's Ira Dean and Brother Trouble performing. A VIP party is included in the event at the Twinsburg Amphitheatre at 7 p.m.

This year's celebrities include former Chicago Bear Jim McMahon, Major League Baseball's Bret Saberhagen, the NFL's Jeff Wilkins, Chef Lou Petrozza from the television series "Hell's Kitchen," WWE Diva and Latin recording artist Lilian Garcia, two-time NBA All-Star Larry Johnson, MLB's Gregg Zaun, television personality Mark Nolan, Ira Dean and Brother Trouble, and Brian Howe.

"When we started this golf tournament 10 years ago we never thought it would grow to be such a world-class event," said Phil Lopez, the manager at Capital Planners and founder of the LOPen tournament. "At the heart of it all are the children at Akron Children's Hospital. There is no greater joy than being able to help those children and fund important research at the hospital."
