Oregon's Elkhorn Valley for Sale
Elkhorn Valley Golf Resort in Lyons, Ore., was put for sale on November 2, 2012. The 463-acre property east of Salem includes an 18-hole golf course and a residential area platted for 150 single-family lots, 46 cottage/condominium sites, resort amenities and a hotel pad.
The facility began in 1976 with nine holes designed and built by Elkhorn Valley's original developer, the late Don Cutler. At one time the layout was named one of America's Top-5 Nine-Hole Courses by Sports Illustrated.
When Cutler passed away, his two children took over the property and added nine new holes, making the course a par-71 of 6,242 yards. They sold the land holdings in 2007.
The North Santiam River crosses the site, which is located in a dense forest approximately 10 miles north of Highway 22 and 45 minutes from Salem.
The property sale is being handled by MKA Capital Group Advisors LLC of Newport Beach, Calif. For additional information, visit http://www.mkacap.com/elkhorn.php or contact George Baker at email@example.com.
