Redesign of Boca Grove Golf Course Continues

Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club in Boca Raton, Fla., has begun a $4 million total renovation to its golf course.

The makeover overseen by Jim Fazio Golf Design includes a complete overhaul and upgrade of the irrigation system; redesign and replacement of the greens complexes; a reshaping and re-grassing of the course, fairways, and rough; and a redesign of the fairway bunkers.

"The renovation and redesign will provide a course that not only challenges low handicappers but also allows players of all levels to enjoy the golfing experience," said Roger Pressman, chairperson of the Boca Grove Green Committee.

"My intent at Boca Grove is to take a fine golf course and make it even better," Fazio said. "Our redesign will establish Boca Grove as one of the premier golf communities in South Florida."

With courses on his resume such as Trump International, Frenchman's Creek, and Hawk's Nest, Jim Fazio has a reputation for crafting fine venues. The golf course renovation is part of Boca Grove's long-term improvement strategy, which includes the completion of a new clubhouse three years ago.

"The golf course renovation and the new clubhouse show a commitment by the Boca Grove membership to preserve the unique lifestyle offered by this small, upscale community," said Howard Slavin, treasurer of the Boca Grove Board of Directors.

Construction on the project has been underway since April and will be completed in November, when members will attend a grand opening.
