Torres Blancas Golf Club
Located 25 miles south of Tucson, Arizona, Torres Blancas Golf Club lies 3,000 feet above sea level – an oasis of green in the desert. Enjoying summer temperatures cooler than both Tucson and Phoenix, Torres Blancas offers visitors golf and abundant recreational opportunities year-round.
The course is an 18-hole, par 72-championship layout designed by Ocampo, Fernandez and Lee Trevino. Situated on the banks of the Santa Cruz River, Torres Blancas offers beautiful views of the Santa Rita, Rincon and Catalina Mountain ranges. The course has numerous sand traps, three lakes, undulating greens and rolling fairways that are always in great shape.
The design of Torres Blancas is traditional links-style rather than desert target-style. Four sets of tees allow players to stretch their game to 6900 yards with a course rating of 71.6 and a slope of 126. Shorter hitters can play from tees that range from 6,400 yards down to 5,100. Known for its outstanding turf conditions and playability, Torres Blancas is fun and challenging for golfers of all abilities.
Torres Blancas has an all-grass practice facility and a full-service pro shop. Lessons are also available. Green fees range from approximately $60 during the high season to $25 in summer. There are also annual golf and multi-play cards available.
If you are coming to visit the area, you can stay at a number of neighboring hotels, including the Best Western, Holiday Inn Express and the Fairfield Lodge. The Valley also features a variety of recreational opportunities. Green Valley Recreation facilities have pools, craft centers, meeting rooms, and clubs at 14 different locations. Also on site is The Madera Room Restaurant, with some of the best food the Valley has to offer. Lunch and dinner are served daily; brunch on Sundays.
